No one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 3:11
Summer represents an exciting time at Crean Lutheran High School. With a myriad of academic and athletic options, students of all ages can get involved.
Advanced Placement (AP) Summer Work
If your student is enrolled in an AP course for the 2017-2018 school year, click here to access the summer homework. All summer work assignments must be completed by the first day of school or earlier (please carefully note alternate deadlines listed in the assignment documents). If you have any questions, please see your counselor. Please note that failure to complete summer work may result in a student being removed from the course.
Crean Lutheran will offer Summer Session classes over a six week period. All classes, except where noted, are available for both advancement and remediation purposes. Academic courses for high school students are typically offered over two, three-week sessions / semesters. Each session corresponds to a full semester during the regular school year. Academic courses are offered either on-campus or online via Canvas, CLHS' course management system. Students who plan on taking one or more online classes must attend Canvas orientation.
Academic Field Trips
Over the years, Saints have traveled to England, China, and beyond to explore countries, cultures, and the greater community of believers. At the same time, these students have earned academic credit and added weight to their college applications. Please consider an academic field trip.
The CLHS mission is to Proclaim Jesus Christ through excellence in education. We've identified three key words that support this mission and focus our efforts: These words are associated with, and identify, each Saint. They are: Christian, Learner, and Servant. It is our expectation that each Saint will grow as a Christian, Learner, and Servant. The availability of mission trips is one way we support students growing as Servants. In the past, we have offered mission trips to Mexico, Hungary, and El Salvador. Please consider the great impact that a mission trip can have.
CLHS invites all students, including incoming freshmen and future Saints, to participate in one or more of the school's summer programs. A special invitation is extended to middle school students around Orange County to participate in Crean Lutheran's various academic, arts, and youth sports camps.
