Advanced Placement (AP) Courses
Advanced Placement courses are very rigorous and prepare the college-bound high school student to sit for the AP exam in May. Policies vary by university; however, most institutions will grant college credit to students for a passing score on an AP exam. It is the intent of CLS to offer the following AP classes as we experience growth in the future:
- Biology
- Calculus AB
- Chemistry
- English Literature and Composition
- European History
- Government and Politics: U.S.
- Physics B
- Spanish Language
- United States History*
- World History**
* Will be offered 2009-10 school year to qualified juniors
** Currently offered 2008-09 school year to qualified sophomores
